Healthy, healthy. My friends always jokingly laugh at my healthy lunches, but oh well. They make me feel good!

Clockwise, from left: Sesame dressing, vegan butternut squash soup, salad with organic romaine, red bell peppas and soynuts, unsweetened applesauce, cocoa roast almonds, hummus for my crackers, and Wasa 110% whole grain crackers.

And finally, some obscene cuteness provided by my furry brother Hefner. My baby is super photogenic. Oooh and awww. He doesn't mind.

I was keepin' it old school with this lunch. Good old PB&J, applesauce and carrots. Does it get better? Sad story, though. I forgot my lunch at home this morning. I had terrible images of eating a bag of Sun Chips and an apple for lunch (I kid you not, our cafeteria does not have a single solitary veggie on its menu). Luckily, my heroic mom delivered it to me during drama. What would I do without that lady?

Clockwise, from left: Vegan butternut squash soup (sorry it's a little shadowy), PB&J on whole wheat, unsweetened applesauce, Crispy Wheats, organic baby carrots.

Welcome back to real life, friends! My holidays were lovely, yours? I enjoyed lots of fantastic veggie cuisine, even trekking to Cincinnati for some distinctive vegan food (but that's another post!) and preparing my own veg fare to compete with the meatier feast that my parents enjoyed. I received some lovely gifts, even a leather purse. Uh-oh. I didn't have the guts to tell the giver that I didn't do leather, but that's OK. It's the thought that counts. But alas, today was the dreaded back to school. I greeted the return to normalcy with a delicious, nutritious (vegan) lunch.

This is some French bread pizza I picked up from Whole Foods a couple weeks ago but completely forgot about until this lunch. It is Ian's brand and has vegan cheese! It was super good, even cold in my lunchbox. I would definitely recommend it!

Sorry guys! A little late with this one. Oh well! I finally found some really good organic kiwi at the awesome co-op grocery near my school. I love good kiwi, but the kiwis that they sell in the mainstream grocery stores just don't stack up. But now I have a feeling I'll be on a bit of a kiwi rampage, so be prepared! I also found some Tofutti Cream Cheese at my grocery store. Vegan score!!!. I am a fan of celery and cream cheese. It did get a little gloppy being tossed around in my lunchbox, but such is life.

Organic kiwi, Kashi 100% whole wheat crackers, organic ginger snaps, organic soy crisps, Vitamin Water, quesadilla on a 100% whole wheat tortilla with spiced black beans, celery with Tofutti cream cheese
